We are all very busy people. We all have a lot on our plates. We all have to pick and choose how we would like to fill our days. Starting my junior year of college, I think it is safe to say I'm busier than ever! I'm holding significant positions in my extracurricular activities, working hard to make Dean's List every semester and filling any free time with campus rep jobs, spending time with friends and family, and occasionally watching Netflix.

If I've learned anything from my 20 years, it's that time is always the topic of conversation. We're talking about our time between classes, activities and life events; how much time has passed and how much we have left; how time whizzes by and yet moves so slow. However you're feeling in a given moment, remember that the moment is fleeting. Everything and anything can change in an instant. I recall the other day when my friends and I were walking through the Quad back to our apartment and remembering all too well being a freshman and walking through the Quad on the first day of classes in August of 2015. Two years later, I'm older, maybe wiser, and my life is still filled with to-dos.

I'm happier now than I ever have been, and that's because I've learned to prioritize. Everything I do is for a reason and has some level of importance to me. Living life trying to be someone you're not, surrounding yourself with people that do not lift you up, and not doing things you love are not worth it. I genuinely enjoy exercising everyday and eating healthy, but sometimes I treat myself with a burger and fries, even if it wasn't on my to-do list for the day.

Whether your to-dos are a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly or just-for-life kind of guide, don't let them confine you. I'm sure you hear it all the time, but it's important to live everyday to the fullest. What are you trying to prove by posting a picture on Instagram with the caption "living [your] best life"? Don't hide behind your to-dos and your screens; go out and live!

Set aside time for the things you genuinely love and want to do. That's what I'll be doing – right here on my blog! This post was pretty wistful and pensive (in my opinion). But usually, you'll see a lot of fashion, beauty, lifestyle, health and travel. I hope you'll check back here soon. ✰
